The Crew 2 Announced

During Ubisoft's investor call it was revealed that The Crew "delivered the same level of profitability in its third year as it did in its second."
In November 2016 Ubisoft said The Crew had 10 million registered players, and it was highlighted as a key title in its games-as-a-service strategy, alongside Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.
"When The Crew puts you into races with good AI, and you get to race through interesting and varied environments, you get the feeling that you're playing a good game."
Since its initial launch, The Crew has received a number of updates, including an expansion called Calling All Units.
To coincide with Ubisoft’s financial call, the French publisher has dropped the most anticlimactic announcements on its forums. Hand-in-hand with Far Cry 5 – it’s using a nice font, that one – the company has confirmed that The Crew 2 is set to release at some point before 31st March, 2018. So, there’s that.
Here’s a comment from one of the firm’s community managers: “Beyond the road... Stay with us for more high octane thrills!” You can check out the logo embedded above.
The original The Crew was a bit of an enigma really; its massive open world was something of a bore and it never really handled particularly well, but Ubisoft must have seen some success with it because it kept adding new content – and even went as far as overhauling the entire graphics engine with one patch. Weird.
