After 14 years, We finally say 'Au revoir' to Ubisoft's Purple Swirl Logo

We Finally Say 'Au revoir' to Ubisoft’s purple swirl Logo

After 14 years with the same logo, Ubisoft has finally opted for a change.
The distinctive purple and white swirl that’s branded Ubisoft’s games since 2003 has gotten a major update. The swirl remains, but the shading and color is now gone. Instead, the space between the now solid-colored swirl is transparent, allowing for the logo to be pasted as an image over a variety of different backgrounds and still look good.
“With this new look, we proudly embrace our role as a creator of worlds and invite you, the players, to continue playing, engaging, and growing with us,” Ubisoft wrote in an official blog post announcing the redesign. “As we move towards our most exciting time of the year (E3!), you will see this new emblem take on the colors and textures of our worlds, and we can’t wait to hear what you all think.”
This isn’t the first time Ubisoft’s logo has changed. The original pink and blue logo had a distinctive ’80s feel, appropriate for its 1986 debut. It was replaced by the rainbow arch in 1995. The purple and white swirl we know today appeared in 2003.

Keep an eye out for the new logo at this year’s E3, which runs from Tuesday, June 13th, to Thursday, June 15th.
