Destiny's Iron Banner Returns This Week with Supremacy

Destiny's Iron Banner Returns This Week with Supremacy - Games Arena

The Iron Banner returns this week in Destiny featuring the Supremacy game mode. From June 6, to 2:00 AM PST June 13, you and your fireteam can duke it out for new rewards.

If you've yet to play Supremacy, you can score points by collecting crests that are dropped after killing opponents. You won't earn points by simply killing another player if you don't pick up the dropped crest. You may also pick up a teammates crest when they die to deny points to the other team.
As always, the loot drops from the Iron Banner are level dependent, so if you're wearing your best gear you'll have a better chance at earning loot with a higher Light level. You should probably stick to your best gear anyway, since the Iron Banner doesn't adjust gear levels as in normal Destiny PVP. Because of this, players who have a higher Light level compared to their opponents will take less damage overall.
If you compete with your fireteam in Destiny's June Iron Banner event, you could earn yourself a new scout rifle, fusion rifle, new helmets, and class-specific items.

Some players are speculating that there are only three Iron Banners left, as Destiny 2 approaches. Bungie confirmed that they are no longer providing balance passes to the original Destiny as "all hands are on deck" for the release of the sequel. However, the developers stated they will continue to support the game until its dying breath, which means the regular resets and, in turn, the monthly Iron Banner events should continue.
Looking ahead for Destiny 2, E3 is right around the corner, so you can expect more announcements to be made. What's more, Bungie announced they are planning to showcase the new Arcstrider Hunter subclass found in the upcoming title. You can catch all the Destiny 2 E3 news here on PVP Live.
