Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Gets a Sparkling P416 Micteca Weapon With New Challenges
The second season for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands‘ challenges recently launched alongside the season-pass release of its newest DLC, Fallen Ghosts. The current challenges, which will run until June 7th, offer up some neat rewards, including an epic variant of a workhorse assault rifle.
The three awards in the current challenge will net you a P416 Micteca for the solo challenge, a bronze paint job for weapons for the community challenge, and an angel wings backpack patch for the task force challenge.
Earning the P416 Micteca is a three-tier challenge. To unlock each challenge, you must complete the challenge before it:
Targets killed: In Espiritu Santo, kill [four] Santa Blanca snipers from at least 100m away while stationary.Targets marked: In Espiritu Santo, in Extreme difficulty, mark [four] Santa Blanca heavies from less than 20m away without dying or using the Spotting skill in the Command Wheel.Targets marked: In Monte Puncu, mark [four] Santa Blanca Veterans without shooting a single bullet or using the Spotting skill in the Command Wheel.
The bronze paint job is a community challenge that calls for manually deactivating 75,000 electronics jammers in any province. And the task force challenge that will net you that nifty angels wing patch can be completed by task force members using a drone or binoculars to mark twenty Santa Blanca generators from at least 150 meters away.
As noted above, you have until June 7th to earn these rewards. Fallen Ghosts will go live for non–season pass holders the day before, though you don’t need the DLC to complete these challenges.
If you haven’t picked up Ghost Recon Wildlands yet, now’s as good a time as any—at least on Xbox One, where the current publisher’s sale is offering discounts on the Standard, Deluxe, and Gold editions.
